Here is the starting point of what will be important discussions ​about childhood trauma, especially on boys and young men, and its connections to living dysfunctionally, even dangerously, from a perspective of experience. 

I am not an academic. I am a survivor.  What I know and teach is rooted in what happened to me. 

The silence must be broken, so I write and speak on it. This is not and will not be easy but it is necessary. ​​
